Servicing Divorcing and Divorced Clients.

We are excited to announce the launch of a new lesson: Servicing Divorcing and Divorced Clients.

Divorce is one of the most sensitive and complex situations you might face when working with clients. During this time, clients may feel stress, strong emotions, and uncertainty. Our role isn’t to give legal or financial advice but to support the advisory process with professionalism, neutrality, and clear communication. How we handle documentation, communication, and escalation during a divorce directly affects both the client relationship and the firm’s risk management.

This course provides guidance on:

  • Maintaining confidentiality with both clients

  • Recognizing when a divorce creates a conflict of interest

  • How to respond when only one spouse discloses their intent to divorce

  • Managing communication and documentation in high-emotion situations

  • When and how to escalate account activity or requests

  • Proper handling of account transitions post-divorce

The training also includes a case study and three practical handouts you can use in your day-to-day work.

Who should take this course:
Client Service Associates, Operations Staff, Support Advisors, and anyone who communicates with clients or processes account requests.
